For those of you who like to dabble in nail art: do you ever have an idea in your head and then on the nail it just DOES NOT WORK? Oh yes, many times. But today, these came out EXACTLY how I wanted them to! I was so in love with this manicure, I wore it for a full week (which also attests to the Jessica formula!). When I saw the colors of the Jessica Autumn in New York collection, I immediately wanted to do paisley! You can check out my post of swatches of the colors alone HERE. And check out my first try ever at paisley nail art!

I try to post accessible nail art usually, but I will mention this manicure takes a steady hand and time (about an hour to do both hands). This was all done with my smallest striping brush (and actually, I had bought a new one and totally forgot I had it. So I actually did this nail art with a cheapy set brush!). I had googled basic paisley patterns just to get an idea of what it looks like. Then, I actually did a loose drawing on a piece of paper of what I wanted on each nail (which way the big pattern pointed, etc.)

As always, I use a piece of tin foil (usually reuse from tin foiling my nails for tough glitters) for my palette. I dab dots of each color on the foil and then based on my loose drawing, I went with it! I randomly picked colors so they wouldn't overlap and started painting over Soho in Love, which was my base.

Do you love my autumn paisleys? I cannot tell you how many people freaked over them and didn't believe I hand-painted them. If you want to try this, I suggest doing it on an accent nail first. As I kept painting, it did get easier as I got into a flow!
