Highlight isn't simply a lipstick. I learned so much on their website about different natural ingredients that have so many benefits. So Highlight Cosmetics look great ON but it's also treating your lips with tumeric! I use tumeric in my cooking and never thought about it in makeup. There's also green and white tea extract, kelp extract, and sunflower oil. Together, these ingredient prevent chapped lips, have vitamins, and is soothing!

Highlight Cosmetics has 10 lipstick shades, which includes 5 mattes. This lipsticks are non-transferable and water-resistant (more on that in a bit!). I am showing you a Matte Liquid Lipstick in Ruby Royalty. I am obsessed with matte lipsticks and the metallics are always so flattering. You can see the shimmer in the bottle!
I love the high-end packaging. There's a cut-out H for the logo, and so you can clearly see the cover. The black cap is simple and sophisticated. It's also a light plastic, which I actually don't mind. Sometimes, weighted wands make applying more difficult.

The doe foot applicator is easy to use and absorbs just enough product. I was able to cover my lips fully after one swipe.

Here is ONE swipe of Ruby Royalty. The color is simply beautiful. It's a great shade of red and I think it's totally wearable for any skin tone. I've worn this during the day and night, and it feels like you are just a bit more dressed up! The gold shimmer is gorgeous.
The lipstick becomes more metallic as you let it dry. It felt fully dry after about 60 seconds. I also prefer not to eat or drink for at least 10 minutes after applying matte lipsticks (or any, really).

Now for wear: I got six solid hours of wear at work. I teach so I am talking ALL day non-stop and drinking water. I was really impressed with the staying power. After 6 hours, I noticed a separation on my lower lip, but that is because I talk so much!
As for night, I went out to passed hors d'oeuvres cocktail party. Now, there was a lot of greasy and small little foods plus drinks! Guys, I can't believe how well this stayed on! I'm always embarrassed to sip drinks and have my lipstick all over it. Nope. Or even to see lipstick on your food after you bite into it (yuck). No issues. I have continued to wear this lipstick with no issues. Like I said, after 6 hours, I did need a slight re-application, but that's acceptable to me!
