Jessica Cosmetics is back with their classic creme formulas for their summer 2018 Gypsy Spirit Collection. I feel like a lot of brands went with festival themes and bohemian vibes, and Jessica followed suit. There's a nice mix of brights in this collection, without being neon, so it's a different summer vibe!
Jessica Gypsy Spirit for Summer 2018, Swatches and Review |
Festival Fuchsia: 1-2 coats. This is a heavily pigmented fuchsia creme. Definitely an easy one coater and definitely can stamp. It's super rich, and leveled out nicely on its own.

Flower Crown: 2 coats plus top coat. This one is a bit neon, so it needed top coat so it could shine. It's a little more green in person, but green-teal-turquoise colors are always gorgeous in the summer. It's very beachy.

Mojave Desert: 2 coats. This is very much a girly pink, but it's almost a neon pastel. The formula was excellent. I fully expected this to be a streaky mess, and as you see, it's definitely not. It's creamy and goes on smoothly. Although can someone tell me what a desert has to do with pink!? lol.

Oasis: 2 coats. Love blues like this and this one has no staining as I wore it for a few days with my Mets manicure last month. It's vibrant but muted--does that even make sense? I feel like this shade of blue is always my favorite.

Sahara Sun: 2 coats. Another great formula--I also used this one with my Mets nail art. I feel like a summer collection without an orange is incomplete. This is a great orange.

Vio-Light: 2 coats plus top coat. This is the only shimmer in the collection, and it almost feels out of place. I like the color, but these cremes were all so creamy and shiny, and even with top coat, this color looks almost dull. It's definitely a spring color. Either way, if you like purple and shimmers, this one is nice.

The Gypsy Spirit collection may not be groundbreaking, but the 1-2 coat formulas on the cremes means they will stamp well and they also last well. I wore my Mets nail art for days and eventually took it off so I could swatch this collection! This collection is available now and each color retails for $9.
I'll be back with nail art in July probably. Between Indie Expo Canada, Polish Con NY (which I attended/am attending) and an academic conference, I'm so busy that I'm just trying to share the colors with you!
