Ever After Sin City and Anonymous Lacquer Set Your Soul On Fire: Vegas Duo

Today I'm trying out two new-to-me brands. This year at Cosmoprof, Ever After and Anonymous Lacquer teamed up to create a special duo, and this duo will be available for purchase today! I love both polishes so read below for why!

Ever After Sin City and Anonymous Lacquer Set Your Soul On Fire: Vegas Duo

Ever After Sin City: 2 coats plus top coat. In the bottle, this polish seems to be mostly a pale gold holo. Once I put it on, the multichrome flakes were aplenty and transformed this gold holo. There's also holo microglitter in there, and the combination of the finishes is lovely. It all laid smooth and one coat of top coat made the polish shine. I could be wrong but it seems there's also gold shimmer in there!

Anonymous Lacquer Set Your Soul on Fire: 1-2 coats plus top coat. This is a super sexy, firey red polish. It's high pigmented so some nails were fine with 1 coats. It's slightly holographic, with a golden shimmer and some sparse gold flakes. I love this specific shade of red for me. It's more wearable vs. bright red nails.

Here are the two colors together. I wasn't sure they actually would go together since the multichrome flakes in Ever After are pink-based, but it's actually wonderful together. Red and gold is a classic combination for me.

Morgan Taylor Street Beats Graffiti Art

I can't just look at a nail polish collection and not do art! I was browsing the Morgan Taylor web site and they actually had three nail art looks as suggestions for this collection. There's a spray paint look, a gradient with chevrons, and a graffiti look! They have a tutorial...and I didn't notice it until AFTER so I just winged it based on their photo! Let's take a look!

Morgan Taylor Street Beats Graffiti Art

I knew I wanted to do the graffiti nails as two accents since this would be my full mani (still wearing it!). My pinky has Street Cred-ible on it and my index has Hip Hot Coral. I did the reverse on my right hand for some fun. Then I dove in with my art!

I did a white base for my nails and using the 6 colors in the collection, I drew some random shapes. I changed around some of the shapes for whatever would fit my nails! Then I outlined everything in black and added accents of white. Topped it off with top coat.

The Morgan Taylor Street Beat Collection retails for $9.00 a bottle and is available in Gelish as well. You can find them in CosmoProf stores, Ulta or online!

KBShimmer Fall 2016 Preview, Swatches and Review

Happy Hump Day! Today I'm sharing with you four of the polishes from the upcoming KBShimmer Fall 2016 collection. The collection releases this Friday, so here's some photos to help narrow down which to purchase. I have crellies, jellies, holos, and microglitters!

KBShimmer Fall 2016 Preview, Swatches and Review

Orchidding Me: 2 coats. I know most will love this polish. It's an orchid colored holographic polish that is vampy and definitely screams fall to me. It's super linear but it looks gorgeous in regular lighting and the sun. I hate when holos are dull indoors. But not this one! The polish practically painted itself on.

Turning Pointe:  2 coats plus top coat. It really does remind me of ballerina slippers. I absolutely love this shade of in between pink and peach. It's part of their Mega Flame line and I love the unique color. It went on smoothly as well. Again, it's beautiful inside and in the sunlight. It's a sparkly neutral and those are my favorites!

Turning Pointe

Tiers of Joy: 2-3 coats. Depending on your nail length, you may only need 2 coats. Some of mine needed 3 so I mentioned it's between 2-3. This is like a vanilla cake colored base with pink, gold, and brown glitters in it. It's really interesting and although I'm not a crelly person, I love this. Of course, I had to matte it with KBShimmer Matte top coat and I love it more! The tiny square glitters are a nice throwback to early indie days.

Fright this Way: 3 coats plus top coat. Lastly, this is a jelly based polish with tons of purple microglitters. I love this polish matte. The purple glitters pop, and by the way, make this an excellent base for nail art. It's definitely dark for Halloween. And if you order any of the polishes, you get free purple bat glitters while supplies last!

I can't wait to show you the nail art that I did with all four of these polishes. It's Halloween themed so stay tuned for it next month!

Which of the four is your favorite? Or do you just love them all? Turning Pointe is definitely my favorite of the four.

The Fall 2016 Collection from KBShimmer releases on August 19th and consists of 12 polishes.

Born Pretty Back to School Water Decals with Alter Ego Nail Polishes

Born Pretty has so many fun and funky water decals. If you're looking for it, Born Pretty has it. I'm not sure what to call these, but they remind me of walking to school in a rural area, so that's where I'm going! They are so adorable so let's take a look.

Born Pretty Back to School Water Decals with Alter Ego Nail Polishes

First, let's take a look at what is in this adorable pack of water decals, since I didn't use every design. We had a school house, trees, foxes, flowers, ducks, sheep, hearts, clouds, bugs. It's such a cute set and I like how the images look drawn!

I began with a base of Alter Ego Lady Luck, a green polish with holographic glitters throughout. Then I dabbed Vegas Show Girl on my nails towards the cuticle. I will be posting both of these new polishes tomorrow on their own. But I created a sort of grass and sky look.

Then I cut out my specific designs, removed the plastic sheet covering on the decal, and put it in water for 20 seconds. They slide off the paper backing and onto my nail. I wanted this to look even more like a drawing so I matted the whole look. I can't help but think how cute these are! My only complaint is that I wish the sheep's body were white!

This water decal set can be found HERE and is A553. The sheet retails for $1.29 and you can easily get 2-10 manicures out of this, depending on how many decals you use at once.

Born Pretty has a large selection of stamping plates and other nail art needs. You can find all stamping plates and other nail toolsHERE. If you want to place an order at Born Pretty, you can get 10% off your order with the discount code PDX31 at checkout. As always, shipping is free.

Alter Ego Vegas Exclusives: Vegas Show Girl and Lady Luck

Yesterday, I showed you some cute water decal art that included these two NEW Alter Ego polishes. Weren't they so pretty matte? Well here are the two colors on their own, and a mini review of some soap by the maker, so let's get to it!

Alter Ego Vegas Exclusives: Vegas Show Girl and Lady Luck

First, let's take a look at the soap sample, which is beyond gorgeous! I almost didn't want to use it because the pattern is so pretty. The soap itself is fairly simple, as it is an oatmeal soap. So if you are sensitive to scents, this would be a great soap. It felt moisturizing and didn't leave my skin feeling tight. Overall, it's a nice soap!

Alter Ego Vegas Exclusives: Vegas Show Girl and Lady Luck

Alter Ego Vegas Exclusives: Vegas Show Girl and Lady Luck

Vegas Show Girl: 2 coats plus top coat. Then topped with matte coat. This is a glitter polish that is tiny glitters and it's so opaque in two coats! There's green, blue, and gold to my eye with tons of holo sparkles. I like the overall look with the other colors mixed in. It's a fun polish for sure!

Vegas Show Girl

Lady Luck: 2 coats plus top coat. Lady Luck was the base for my nail art yesterday. It's a grass green base that almost has a jelly like feel, except it is completely opaque in two coats (yay!). There's some silver flakes and holo glitter as well. It's not as sparkly as Vegas Show Girl, but if that much sparkle isn't for you, then Lady Luck is!

China Glaze Rebel Collection for Fall 2016: Swatches and Review

It's the weekend, so that means some gorgeous swatch spam. This edition will be show off the gorgeous new China Glaze Rebel collection, with some awesome names from the 90s. It will give you awesome flashbacks, and you'll definitely want to wear these polishes. Head back later for a 90s inspired nail art look!

China Glaze Rebel Collection for Fall 2016: Swatches and Review

Fresh Prince-ss: 3 thin coats plus top coat. This is a sweet pink creme. It's definitely a staple. I actually think it would be opaque in 2 coats, but the regularly 85% humidity is messing with my life. I like this shade of pink because it makes me tan.

Fresh Prince-ss

Fresh Prince-ss

Don't Mesh with Me: 1 coat over Fresh Prince-ss and 1 coat over Purple Fiction. I wanted to see how this polish looked over light and darker polishes. I feel like this can be opaque in 3-4 coats, but I love it layered over a darker color. It sort of looks dirty over Fresh Prince-ss but it's amazing with Purple Fiction. It's a shimmery purple polish with a pink shift.

Don't Mesh with Me over Fresh Prince-ss

Don't Mesh with Me over Fresh Prince-ss

Pearl Jammin: 3 thin coats. This polish is one of the stars for the collection, for me. I love the pearl blue color with the strong gold shift. I also think this polish would be awesome for a wintry look, and transitions into spring. It's unique for a mainstream as well---I feel like I need a creme version of this shade of blue!

Pearl Jammin

Pearl Jammin

Pearl Jammin

Holo at Ya Girl: 1 coat over Pearl Jammin and 1 coat over Blue-Ya. I also wanted to see how this polish looked over dark and light colors and I like it both ways. Like Don't Mesh with Me, I feel like this can be built up in 3 coats. It's a holo glitter in a strong gold shimmer base.

Dope Taupe: 2 coats. I LOVE this griege color creme. It's just enough between beige and grey that it's super flattering and the forula was buttery. This is WITHOUT top coat. It's self leveling and beautiful. Another favorite for me.

Dopo Taupe

Dopo Taupe

Y'all Red-y For This: 1-2 coats. This is a super pigmented red shimmer polish. Because of that, I had a bit over cuticle staining upon removal, so remove with care. I was able to actually paint 4 nails in one dip of the polish--that's how pigmented it is! I used two for the photos, but you only need one. A classic red with a gorgeous shift.

Y'all Red-y For This

Jagged Little Teal: 2 coats. Ah yes, I listen to Alanis Morrisette on the reg, so I'm down with this. It's a teal creme that is definitely more green than this photo, but it's a true teal creme for the fall. Formula was great and no staining on me!

Jagged Little Teal

Jagged Little Teal

Purple Fiction: 2 coats. This is a vibrant purple with a pink shimmer. I think any purple lover will want this and I especially love it with Don't Mesh with Me. Plus...the name!

Purple Fiction

Combat Blue-Ts: 2 coats. This is a rich cobalt blue matte polish and it's really an awesome color. You simply have to work fast when putting down your coats. I also suggest a ridge-filling base coat, because as you see below, it shows it all off!

Combat Blue-Ts

Combat Blue-Ts

Combat Blue-Ts, with top coat

Teen Spirit: 2 coats. I feel like Kurt Cobain would like this nail polish. It's a dark blue polish with vibrant blue shimmer. But, it's amazing matte. Just look! All the blue shimmer glows when it is matte and bits of purple shimmer show through too. So much love there.

Teen Spirit

Blue-Ya: 2 coats. This is similar in looks to Teen Spirit but it has a teal base with strong gold and green shimmer. After I saw how amazing Teen Spirit was matte, I did the same here. AMAZING. Matte-ing the polish just elevates the gorgeous shimmer against the dark base.

Blue-Ya

Heroine Chic: 2 coats. This is a fun gunmetal brown metallic with gold and red flakes. It actually surprised me on the nail. It's unique and beautiful, and really, is the epitome of 90s grunge.

So which are your favorites? Mine are Pearl Jammin, Combat Blue-Ts, Heroine Chic, and Dope Taupe. But I love how the darker colors look matte. It's a cohesive collection and definitely gets me in the mood for fall!

Paint Box Polish Westerosi Collection Nail Art with Born Pretty Water Marble Stamping Plate

Rainbow nail polish collections mean that I definitely NEED to do some kind of fun art. I already did a rainbow dotticure with the Westerosi collection, and now I have some sponging with stamping!
Paint Box Polish Westerosi Collection Nail Art with Born Pretty Water Marble Stamping Plate

First off, the plate comes with protective covering and has 18 designs. For $2.99, that's a great deal. The plate is a play on water marble designs, which I'm confident I can't do on my own, lol.

I added one coat of Paint Box Polish Winter is Coming, and then sponged on all the colors from the collection. You can see the full collection HERE. I added some Girly Bits Border Patrol around my cuticles and sponged on the other 6 collection from the collection.

Paint Box Polish Westerosi Collection Nail Art with Born Pretty Water Marble Stamping Plate

Then I chose one stamp from the plate to use for my water marble. I have never had issues with Born Pretty stamping plates, and I feel like this one works fine. What I do currently have issues with is my stamping polish. :( It seems the extreme heat waves we have been having has caused my stamping polishes, especially black, to dry up. I thinned it a bit, but it was still a sticky mess. I stamped with silver stamping polish, and all the images picked up. So the plate is awesome, my black stamping polish is not. Unfortunately, silver did not show up well over this.

Paint Box Polish Westerosi Collection Nail Art with Born Pretty Water Marble Stamping Plate

I have really wanted to see what the Westerosi collection looks like matte. Well, it looks awesome!

Paint Box Polish Westerosi Collection Nail Art with Born Pretty Water Marble Stamping Plate

Paint Box Polish Westerosi Collection Nail Art with Born Pretty Water Marble Stamping Plate

This tamping plate can be found HERE and $2.99. I like the variety of designs; I did play with them separately but I was determined to use this stamp. Too bad humidity had other plans.

Born Pretty has a large selection of stamping plates and other nail art needs. You can find all nail stamping plates and other nail toolsHERE. If you want to place an order at Born Pretty, you can get 10% off your order with the discount code PDX31 at checkout. As always, shipping is free.

Cupcake Polish The Luau Collection

Let's start off your week with a collection of 6 gorgeous holographic shimmer polishes from Cupcake Polish. Inspired by luaus and the islands, this collection reminds us to enjoy the rest of the summer! And if that weren't enough, I have a coupon code for you at the end of the post for when you order this collection!

Cupcake Polish The Luau Collection

Before I start, I wanted to mention that I used top coat on ALL of the polishes. These are not your standard holos and have gorgeous shimmer, so the top coat elevates the shimmer without diminishing the holo.

Sand By Me: 2 coats. I just have to say how much I love this polish, both indoors and out. It's a golden orange color that is just so flattering with a gold and pink shimmer. I love this polish. It's definitely my favorite and if you can only get one, get this one! I have absolutely nothing like it in my stash.

Sand By Me, direct sunlight

Sand By Me, direct sunlight

Hula Do You Love?: 2 coats. This red is so vibrant. I love that it's more red-orange than straight red. There's a strong gold shimmer. Again, I don't have a red holo this shade WITH shimmer. The shimmers make these totally special. Make sure you wear a base coat--this polish is very pigmented and did stain my nail beds.

Hula Do You Love?, direct sunlight

Here Today, Gone to Maui: 2 coats. This is a beautiful shade of grass green, but with holo and shimmer, it's emeralds. It totally reminds me of palm trees on islands. The gold shimmer is beautiful and the holo even freaked out my camera. And a plus, no staining at all.

Here Today, Gone to Maui, direct sunlight

Lei Me Down: 2 coats. This is a vibrant purple holo with iridescent blue glitter. It's the only one that has chunkier glitter, but it's still smooth. Because of the glitter, it was a bit thick to apply. Next time, I will probably add thinner. I like addition of the glitter.

The Tiki to My Heart: 2 coats. This one is a bright pink, but it is not neon. I compared it with my bottle of It's Not What You Pink and they are very different. This holo also has a subtle blue shimmer to it.

Be More Pacific: 2 coats. This name made me laugh. It is such a perfect ocean blue on your nails. It looks like jewels on my nails!

So what do you think of the Luau Collection? I think the inspiration is spot on! My favorites are Sand by Me, Hula Do You Love, Here Today, Gone to Maui, and Be More Pacific. Yes, I realize that's 4 out of 6! These also go together beautifully for nail art--check back tomorrow at 8:30am!

These will retail for $13 and will be available August 28th at 12:00pm CDT. You can use the coupon code COSMOPROF2016 for 15% off your entire purchase. But HURRY, because this code expires on September 1, 2016.

I showed you swatches of The Luau Collection yesterday and it had me feeling like Hawaiian flowers--or whatever I consider to be Hawaiian flowers! The colors go so well together, so I wanted to do some art.

Cupcake Polish Luau Collection Hawaiian Flower Nail Art

I started with a base of Sand By me, which is my personal favorite of the collection! Then using Hula Do You Love?, The Tiki to My Heart, Be More Pacific, and Lei Me Down, I dotted on flowers by simply doing 5 dots in a circle. Then I went in with Here Today, Gone to Maui and added a dot in the center of each flower and some leaves. It is SO easy! Topped it all off with top coat.

Seche Premier Colour Gifted

Today I have a NOTD with the new Seche Premier Colour line. This line is brand new and is available now! It's a new system of polish that is at Sally's and Ulta. So let's check it out.

Seche Premier Colour Gifted

Gifted: 2 coats. This is a berry leaning red creme that goes on super smoothly. I used their base coat, which is thin and a bit sticky, so it reminds me of a bonding base coat. The polish itself cures in sunlight, so I feel the base coat helps with that. Then I used the Sealant top coat, which is NOT Seche Vite. You could use Seche Vite, but to ensure you have a lasting manicure, use the Sealant. The Sealant dried pretty fast.

I have to say, I love how this applied. I really like the grips of the handle of the brushes. It helped to make a really clean manicure.

It's almost the weekend! And for me, the final weekend before I go back to teaching. I have a full weekend of plans and it will be fun, and then I'll be in full teaching mode! I still have SO much to show you from new brands at Cosmoprof to fall collections, so I'll still be around. Today, I'm showing you two polishes from the new Pirate's Booty Collection from Glisten & Glow. This releases TOMORROW, August 26th and the entire collection includes holos! So let's take a look.

Glisten & Glow Pirate's Booty Collection: Wench's Wadrobe and Blackbeard's Booty

Blackbeard's Booty: 2 coats. This is a blackened linear holographic polish that has gold flakes in it! The gold flakes are sparse but they are there. You can see them more easily in the shade or inside, but as you can see, outside, the holographic flare is so strong! I'll definitely be reaching for this polish for Halloween looks!

Glisten & Glow Blackbeard's Booty

Wench's Wardrobe: 2 coats. This is a blackened purple navy. Sometimes it appears more blue and sometimes it is more purple. It has a great formula, and again, a very strong linear holo. These polishes just blinded my camera!

Then for fun, I did a gradient of Blackbeard's Booty over Wench's Wardrobe. It's subtle because they are both dark colors, but still pretty!

Ittse Makeup Palette Review, Swatches, and Wear Test

Hope you've had a great day! I posted a nail look earlier today but I really wanted to share a beauty company today! I've been wearing their eye shadows the last few weeks and now want to share with you some of the colors! I have another palette to show you, but this one is my favorite and these colors are amazing so you need to see!

Ittse is a beauty company based out of San Francisco. I've shown you the company in the Cosmoprof recap HERE. It's a build-your-own palette company and they will be releasing lip colors too! For now, I have 9 eye shadows and two colors for complexion. I'm going to focus on the eye shadows for this post. Basically, with all of their products, you can have a whole face in the palette beyond mascara!

Here is the packaging! It comes with adorable product stickers and each eye shadow is labeled.

Ittse Makeup Palette Swatches and Wear Test

Ittse Makeup Palette Swatches and Wear Test

Here is a picture of the white palette. It's a leather-like product, and has a magnetic in the lining so it stays closed. It definitely remains closed as I have thrown it around in my purse. I'm also showing the outside packaging. How adorable is it? I love the whimsy and the name ittse written in stars!

Ittse Makeup Palette Swatches and Wear Test

Ittse Makeup Palette Swatches and Wear Test

Here's how it looks when you open it. There's a clear plastic film to protect the mirror and instructions.

Ittse Makeup Palette Swatches and Wear Test

Each individual color comes like this! Here is Peridot, an amazing shimmery chartreuse.

Ittse Makeup Palette Swatches and Wear Test

Ittse Makeup Palette Swatches and Wear Test

You want to save the plastic shell so that when you want to switch our your colors in the ittse palette, you have somewhere to put the shadow and protect it! On the second picture, you can see I actually even labeled the outside of the packet in the upper right corner. Some of the colors are very different and I wouldn't want to put a matte beige in the green shimmer shell! Sorry for taking a picture of Shabby Chic and not Peridot! Whoops.

Ittse Makeup Palette Swatches and Wear Test

Onto the color! The top two are complexion colors and the bottom 9 are the eye shadow colors.

Below are the swatches with two swipes! Surprisingly, Bowie needed 3 swipes. It has a lot of glitter so I assume it lends to sheerness. Overall, I LOVE these colors. Weekend Getaway is the most amazing color ever. I'm happy with how these performed too. I wore them all day and there wasn't any fallout and my makeup stay put!

Ittse Makeup Palette Swatches and Wear Test

Ittse Makeup Palette Swatches and Wear Test

For my look, I wore a base of Bare Canvas, then blended on Istanbul and The City. On my outer part of my eyelid, I blended Peridot, Weekend Getaway, Santorini, and Faralloons. SO much love!

Ittse Makeup Palette Swatches and Wear Test

Ittse Makeup Palette Swatches and Wear Test

Having the palette and throwing it around a bit, I notice there is some fall out in the palette, but that's why there's a protective screen. Also, I would LOVE for them to create a palette cover with their signature stars. Overall, I'm incredibly impressed with the product and I hope I can grab the lip colors soon. I also need more bright colored matte shadows. Weekend Getaway is just awesome! And by the way, the shadows are only $7.99 so it's totally affordable!

If you want to order, you can use cosmoprof15 for 15% off your coupon!

So what do you think about ittse? Do you like the portability? The colors? Let me know!

It's Friday! Today I'm finally getting a chance to try out Powder Perfect, and I love them both so much. I'm not sure why I never tried Powder Perfect, but I don't have an excuse not to buy anymore!

Powder Perfect Divine Pharaoh and Utopia

Before I start, I want to mention how much I love the brush of these polishes! They are the perfect length and width for me!

Divine Pharoah: 2 coats. This is one of the polishes from the new Egyptology collection. I'm so in love with this polish! It's silvery gold polish with an awesome green shimmer along with gold and holo microglitter. I love the combination of materials and the overall look. This is a perfect polish for me.

Utopia: 1-2 coats. This is a very pigmented and thick polish. I may thin in next time because I prefer 2 thin coats over the 1. If you like 1 coat polishes though, this is for you! Utopia is one of the anniversary polishes. It's a vibrant pink holo with chameleon flakes! I like how the flakes add a pop of darker color to the holo polish.

Lou It Yourself The In Betweeons Swatches + Art

It's the weekend! Today, I'm heading to the Renaissance Faire because why not? I don't go every year but it's fun to see the period wear and shop the vendors who get into character! Totally not Renaissance inspired is this awesome neon collection from Lou It Yourself. It's my first time trying the brand, and I wore my nail art for a few days, so let's get to it! These are still available so if you love them, go snatch them up!

**All swatches have one coat of top coat. Neon pigment can cause polishes to dry semi-matte, so you want top coat for that glossy look!

Neither Here Nor There: 2 coats. The perfect neon pink that remains pink on my nails and has a fabulous formula. I love how bright it is without a white base. Many neon pinks because coral on my skin, but this is a girly pink that is phenomenal.

Neither Here Nor There

Neither Here Nor There

Riding the Fence: 2 coats. This bright orange has the same great formula as Neither Here Nor There. It's bright, it's opaque, it's an overall awesome neon orange.

Riding the Fence

Riding the Fence

Not Quite There: 3 coats. This is between a yellow and an orange. Because it's lighter, it needed 3 coats, which was fully opaque. A lot of times, colors like this need 4 coats. This color reminds me of a mango, and mango oranges are really flattering on all skin tones.

Not Quite There

Not Quite There

A Rock and a Hard Place: 3 coats. THIS COLOR. It's a slightly greened neon yellow and I love it. It's so bright! It's the most neon color of the collection, and it helps bring my art together well. You could also do two coats over a white base, but it's so bright on its own.

A Rock and a Hard Place

A Rock and a Hard Place

Agree to Disagree: 2 coats, but I should have done 3 for photos. In person, I was happy at 2 but after, I can see some VNL in the photos. It's a squishy green crelly--it's not fully jelly but it's not a straight creme. It's definitely in between a neon and a grass green.

Agree to Disagree

Agree to Disagree

Undecided: 1 coat. 2 for photos. This blue is AMAZING. It's opaque in one coat. It's again, in between the neon and the bright creme. It's a gorgeous bright sky blue with an amazing formula. I bet this would watermarble well too...if I did that type of stuff. Maybe I need to try it with this collection?

Undecided

Undecided

A Little of This: 3 coats. This is similar to Agree to Disagree. It's sort of like a jelly, so it needs three coats. It's a bright blurple color. I think a lot will love this color, even for the fall.

A Little of This

A Little of This

Playing Both Sides: 2 coats.Another pink but this one is much deeper and has more red. I love both pinks and I bet they would make a great gradient. This darker pink completes the collection with the last few darker colors. Great formula at 2 coats.

Playing Both Sides

Playing Both Sides

Of course, rainbow collections means dots for me! This kind of reminds me of a clown's outfit--that wasn't intentional. And as always, neons matte are so cool. Which look do you prefer?

Lou It Yourself The In Betweeons Rainbow Dotticure

I love this collection, from the concept to the execution. The names are all on par with the "in between" theme. Some colors are super neon and others are bright but not quite neon. I think my favorites are Neither Here Nor There, Not Quite There, A Rock and a Hard Place, and Undecided.

The In Betweeons retail for $8.00 each or you can purchase the entire set of 8 for $60!

Today, I'm sharing two of the five new polishes from the new Girly Bits What Really Happened in Vegas collection. Pam does this collection every year after Cosmoprof! It included the LE, which I showed HERE, and now there's a small collection that is still available!

Girly Bits What Really Happened in Vegas: I Do What I Want and Personal Hotspot

Personal Hotspot: 2 coats + TC. This is a sparkly rich magenta polish. It dries a bit textured so it definitely needs one coat of Glitter Glaze to smooth it over. There's so much holo to it, so it's really glittery in the sun. Removal was easy though!

Girly Bits Personal Hotspot

Girly Bits Personal Hotspot

Girly Bits Personal Hotspot

I Do What I WANT!: 2 coats + TC. This polish is much smoother than Personal Hotspot. It's got silver and holo microflakes. It's sparkly but not as in your face as Hotspot. The holo is much more obvious in this polish too.

Zoya Urban Grunge Cremes for Fall 2016 + Comparisons

Happy Monday! Today marks the beginning of the teaching semester, although I've been in the zone for a few weeks, planning my syllabi and such. Back to school for me means fall is coming! I love fall and I'm especially okay with cooler weather. Standing in front of a large classroom with all the heat is tiring! Zoya is transitioning us into the Fall with 2 collections. Today I'll be sharing the cremes and tomorrow the metallic holos! I have comparisons for each color so grab some coffee and browse away!

Zoya Urban Grunge Cremes for Fall 2016 + Comparisons

Noah: 1 coat in person. 2 coats in phots plus top coat. In person, you couldn't really see the issues with one coat, but there were a few bald spots visible in photos. But this truly could be a one coater. It's a thicker polish since it's one coat, so it just take finessing. It's a perfect nude for the fall. It's sort of murky but beautiful.

Zoya Noah

Zoya Noah

Zoya Noah vs. Zoya Misty. Misty is on my ring finger and you can see it's lighter and has a green tone to it.

Zoya Noah vs. Zoya Misty

Zoya Noah vs. Zoya Misty

Zoya August: 2 coats. Same as Noah, you can totally get away with 1 coat in person. This grey is amazing. The touch of blue adds to it, making it more wearable. It's colorful but not. I love this one and it is my favorite of the collection.

Zoya August

Zoya August

Zoya August vs. Zoya Dove. Not even close. Dove is a true grey while August has that special touch of blue.

Zoya August vs. Zoya Dove

Zoya August vs. Zoya Dove

Zoya Tara: 2 coats. This one definitely needed two coats as I had some balding. What's a fall collection without some vampy shades? This one is much more plum colored than Courtney. I prefer Tara on my skin tone.

Zoya Tara

Zoya Tara

Zoya Tara vs. Zoya Margo and Veronica. Close but no cigar! Margo is more berry colored (on my index) while Veronica is more red toned (on my ring).

Zoya Tara vs. Zoya Margo and Veronica

Zoya Tara vs. Zoya Margo and Veronica

Zoya Courtney: 2 coats. Like Tara, I could not get this as a one coater. It's more red-toned than Tara. Veronica is more berry toned. These are all slightly different. If you love this sort of color, you will probably want them all.

Zoya Courtney

Zoya Courtney

Zoya Courtney vs. Zoya Claire. Can you find how they differ? Claire is ever so slightly darker. Slightly. It's on my ring finger--can you see the difference? For me, they are too close to own both, but it depends on your skin tone. They both have the same formula too.

Zoya Courtney vs. Zoya Claire

Zoya Courtney vs. Zoya Claire

Zoya Mallory: 1 coat, but 2 for photos. Again, this can be a gorgeous one coat manicure. It's a bright blue and I love this color, but it felt familiar. It's gorgeous and awesome for a fall blue.

Zoya Mallory

Zoya Mallory

Zoya Mallory vs. Zoya Sia. Now, in the bottle shots, Sia looks a bit brighter. But on the nail, there's no difference. That made me kind of sad, so I tried it on a nail wheel. Still looks the same. Sia is from last fall, so it's not an old color, so I'm wondering how Mallory was created so close to Sia's collection.  Sia's touch of bright doesn't translate on the nail next to Mallory.

Zoya Mallory vs. Zoya Sia

Zoya Mallory vs. Zoya Sia

Zoya Wyatt: 2 coats. I love this deep grass green. It will be perfect for harvest nail art, for holiday nail art in the winter. I love it and it's totally unique.

Zoya Wyatt

Zoya Wyatt

Zoya Wyatt vs. Talia. I did one coat of Talia because I was like LOL, these aren't the same at all. I'm glad Wyatt is truly original.

Zoya Wyatt vs. Talia

Zoya Wyatt vs. Talia

My absolute favorites are August and Wyatt. They are unique to the Zoya catalog. I'm a bit disappointed that Courtney and Mallory basically already exist, but I wonder if on different skin tones they make a drastic difference. I did also swatch these on a nail wheel to see if my camera was playing tricks, but nope--they are really too close for comfort.

The Zoya Urban Grunge Collection is available HERE on their web site. The collection retails for $10 each or you can grab the entire sampler for $60. Zoya: SHOP, Facebook,Instagram.

Zoya Urban Grunge Metallic Holos for Fall 2016 + Comparisons

I'm back today with the Metallic Holos section of the new Urban Grunge Collection. This part includes 3 metallics and 3 holo shimmers. I've got some comparisons as well, so let's get to it!

Zoya Urban Grunge Metallic Holos for Fall 2016 + Comparisons

Zoya Alicia: 3 coats. This is the one I previewed at Cosmoprof and everyone freaked out! It's definitely the most holo of the three holos in this collection. It also has a nice golden shimmer. It's pretty and I love to see polishes like this coming out from mainstream companies. It's been a while!

Zoya Alicia

Zoya Alicia

Zoya Merida: 2 coats. This is my favorite of the three holos. It's not as rainbow-y as Alicia, but the rich hunter green with the gorgeous sparkle. It will be perfect for fall and winter, just like Wyatt.

Zoya Merida

Zoya Merida

Zoya Finley: 2 coats. The purple holo. This is just like Merida. It's a rich deep purple. I don't love dark colors on my nails, so the sparkle makes it much more wearable for me!

Zoya Finley

Zoya Finley

Zoya Finley vs. Zoya Aurora. I think a lot of people confused the awesome finish with the color. Aurora and Finley has the same scattered holo, but the purples are totally different. You need both!

Zoya Finley vs. Zoya Aurora

Zoya Finley vs. Zoya Aurora

Zoya Ash: 1-2 coats. I love this metallic red. It's got an awesome formula and can be opaque in one coat. It's my favorite type of red too. I gravitate towards deeper reds.

Zoya Ash

Zoya Ash

Zoya Ash vs. Zoya Sarah. These are very close. Sarah is a bit more red than Ash. But next to each other, they are similar. Ash has a better formula, as it can be opaque in 1 coat.

Zoya Ash vs. Zoya Sarah

Zoya Ash vs. Zoya Sarah

Zoya Britta: 1- 2 coats. Again, the metallic shimmer of this deep burgundy makes it more wearable for me. It has the same awesome formula as Ash. This one is more winter while Ash is more fall, but I'll be wearing both whenever.

Zoya Britta

Zoya Britta

Zoya Britta vs. Tiegen. They look close in the bottle but on the nail, they are very different!

Zoya Britta vs. Tiegen

Zoya Britta vs. Tiegen

Zoya Troy: 2 coats. This is a gunmetal metallic. It actually looks kind of frosty to me, so it's not my favorite. I love this tone of grey though! And I have nothing like it in my Zoya stash!

Zoya Troy

Zoya Troy

So there you have it! The Zoya Urban Grunge collection? Do you prefer the cremes or the metallics? I thought the collection was overall cohesive, but I have to say, I'm missing the coppers and browns this fall! From the metallic holos, my favorites are Merida and Ash.

The Zoya Urban Grunge Collection is available HERE on their web site. The collection retails for $10 each or you can grab the entire sampler for $60. Zoya: SHOP, Facebook,Instagram.

Pure Ice released a new back to school collection called "All Class Color." These polishes are meant to be neutrals to accent your personal style. While they may be neutrals, these colors have the most amazing formulas, so you need to check them out. At $1.97 each, I'm still going WOWW over these polishes.

Pure Ice All Class Color Collection: Swatches and Review

As I mentioned earlier, these polishes are $1.97 and available at Walmart. Just because a polish doesn't cost a lot, doesn't mean it's cheap. I have a handful of Pure Ice polishes in my collection, and these are lovely additions.

Pure Ice Hautumn: 2 coats. This formula is amazing. These pastel colors can be streaky, but this Pure Ice was unbelievable. I am so impressed, just wow. It's a pale lilac creme and has a buttery formula and just look at it. It applied itself.

Pure Ice Hautumn

Pure Ice Make Your Mauve: 1 coat! You guys, this is a one coater. When I think of mauve, I think of old ladies, haha. But this mauve is definitely brighter and is totally wearable. Love them!

Pure Ice Make Your Mauve

Pure Ice Make Your Mauve
Pure Ice Sheen Queen: 2 coats. This is an interesting color. grurple? It's a greyed out purple and I love that it's dark for fall but still has some brightness. Look at how shiny it is!

Pure Ice Sheen Queen

Pure Ice Sheen Queen
Pure Ice Hot Child in the Suburbs: 2 coats. This is the one shimmer of the collection. It's a muted beige pink with gold shimmer. The other polishes didn't need top coat but I'm thinking I should have put it on this polish. It's like an amped up mannequin hands for me.

Vegas 2016: 2 coats plus top coat. This is a rich, deep teal holographic polish. You can get away with one coat, but I did two for the photos. It's great how well the dark teal holds up against the holo. This polish was the Cosmoprof 2016 exclusive and will be available for 24 hours!

I showed you the back to school collection from Pure Ice that is at Walmart the other day, and now I want to share some more polish that can be found there exclusively. Hard Candy polishes have been around forever and they remind me of being in middle school and buying the polishes with the matching ring! They've updated their look and I have a few polishes to share with you!

Hard Candy Swatch Spam

First, I want to show off this adorable cosmetic bag. It's fairly large so you can fit A LOT of makeup in it and the inside has a protective lining. I like that the bottom has a zipper to either expand them bag OR to zip up your makeup brushes. Isn't that genius? This cosmetics bag retails for $5.92.

Hard Candy Swatch Spam

Bronze Champion: 2 coats. I LOVE this color. It's a gorgeous bronze metallic polish without the brushstrokes. There's an addition of gold and pink shimmer and it's just really pretty. It's going to be a gorgeous base for autumn manicures. I know I'll be reaching for it.

A Mermaid's Tale: 2 coats. This is a mermaid blue teal metallic polish. It is the perfect mermaid blue color. You want to do as few strokes as possible, as you can see that it can be a bit streaky. It's completely opaque in two coats.

Hard Candy A Mermaid's Tale

Lace Me Up: 1 coat over A Mermaid's Tale. This is a black and pink matte glitter topper. I like the hot pink against the blue base. I feel ready for the 80s with this combo of colors! It basically would look awesome over any color and it's great for Valentine's Day.
